Corsair (RX-75)
Designer's Notes
This mecha I drew myself. I think the inspiration was from Mekton. Whatever, the corsair was used in a "10-years later" Macross II campaign. At that time the Giovanni Empire and UN Spacy made peace and fleets of starships were leaving Earth and Italia to try and destroy the remnants of the now leaderless Marduk Empire.
The corsair improved on the original RX-72 design and became a full-fledge battloid.
Robotech Background
The RX-75 would be right at home in a Sentinels campaign.
Macross II Background
Built by the Giovanni Empire by merging Gilgamesh armor with human technology. It got its name from the Giovanni tactic of flying they Milano Cruisers close to enemy ships and sending a number of corsairs to destroy enemy weapon pods, radar and targetting systems.
