Another mecha loosely inspired by battletech. This mecha is obviously extremely weak and most heavier mechs will simply up the locust without blinking. The locust works extremely well in tandem with other, heavier units such as tanks and mecha. The locust quickly becomes a pain. However it has extremely limited punch.
In the asteroid field, the Locusts are usually outfitted with a series of thrusters giving them mobility equivalent to a Zentraedi Battle Pods.
Robotech Background
The locust were built as a cheap mecha by bandits and anti-unification rebels. It is a cheap mecha made with legs from destroyed battle pods and a cockpit made from a reinforced truck or other human vehicle. It is found heavily amongst bandits and other rebels.
Macross II Background
The locust were built as a cheap mecha by the Giovani Empire and anti-unification rebels. It is a cheap mecha made with legs from destroyed battle pods and a cockpit made from a reinforced truck or other human vehicle.
The Giovanni have sold the plans to the Locust to a number of minor forces. The locust is a common sight in many regions of the world, especially near and around crashed Zentran ships and areas of heavy Zentran activity.
On their "home" planet of Italia, the Giovanni have older locusts with incomplete cockpits. Some of the models there are purely civilian and have a large array of SDC weapons. The model statted here is a military version.
