The First Giovanni Infantry was founded about 5 years after the creation of the colony. It has always been a symbol of the elite Giovanni soldier. The Aguilas have not seen much action in the last 20 years. They are an almost parade guard. Throughout the Fringe War, the First does not see much action staying in reserve to defend Nova Roma and the Ducce.

After the defection of the Second Infantry to the sofisti, the High Council voted to give the nomination to a Marduk and Zentran unit to a Powerian commander.The Second is posted on the Giovanni-2 asteroid where they serve as a strike force and the symbol of Giovanni Power in the Asteroid Belt.

Before the Fringe War, the Third and Fourth Infantry were merged to attempt to standardize the Giovanni military. During the Wars, the Third inflicted a large number of losses on the Marduk, After the wars, the Third effectively becomes the Giovanni's corps of engineers, affected to all sort of tasks to assist and increase colonization.

The Seventh infantry was formed when the Giovanni seized an old Zentraedi Cruiser with its cloning chambers intact and its belly full of Zentran in stasis. The Giovanni brought a high-ranking officer from their army to command the Zentran. During the Fringe War, the Seventh spearheaded most of the Giovanni's major offensives.
After the War, the Zentranes were posted to Giovanni-2 where they serve as support or the Second in ensuring Giovanni suppremacy in the Belt.

History/Notes
The First Frontierian Infantry faced the Giovanni to a standstill for over 20 years. Their numbers tripled when Freebies joined the Frontierians.
During the Fringe War, this unit conducted periodic highly successful raids on Madre against the Marduk. During their most successful raid, they managed to destroy 50 sets of power armor.
After the War, this unit was given the name of Eight Infantry. They remain a very local unit, both loyal and isolationists.
